Veronica Rooney is a Chicago-based comedian, writer, producer, and musician committed to creating original work that incorporates camp, humor, and the absurd. Rooney is a writer and cast member in Joystick: iO Theater’s Premier Sketch Ensemble. With Joystick, she has written and performed in four original revues to wide acclaim, including “Sink or Swim,” “Any Time But Now,” and “Fun Control!” As a producer, she created multiple shows for Donny’s Skybox at Second City and The Annoyance Theater, including “Table 33,” “Delirium,” and “Shock Jocks.” Rooney is known for her sharp, innovative comedy writing across mediums, shrewd producing skills, and the integration of rock music into live sketch comedy.
